Our experienced and highly educated staff understand children. All teachers are educated in early childhood development, and each one truly shares in every child's sense of wonder with warmth, patience, and sensitivity.

We ensure that the size of each group and the child teacher ratio is age appropriate. Our preschool groups generally have 14 children with a teacher to child ratio of 1:7. Our excellent kindergarten program has no more than 16 children and a teacher to child ratio of 1:7.

Because toddlers need extra care and attention, we limit the size of these groups to eight with a teacher to child ratio of 1:4.5.

The Children's Center is dedicated to building a vibrant community of early childhood development teachers. Students studying early childhood development from local area schools such as SMCC and PATHS assist our staff, join play activities, observe, and form bonds with our children.

The Children's Center has outstanding facilities, playground, and access to the University of New England libraries and recreation center in inclement weather.
